Touted as one of the most beautiful mosques in South East Asia, its architecture was inspired by Masjid Azizi in Sumatra, Indonesia. The main dome is situated in the north-east of the building.
Its main hall (prayer hall), is surrounded by wide verandahs with four mezzanine areas, 844 sq ft, measuring 3, each topped by a dome. The five large domes symbolise the five Islamic principles.
