Poh Guan Hong successfully established the first manufacturing facility in East Malaysia with the GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification in 1998. The shop mainly sells a wide range of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) from packaged goods to herbal medicines, at the same time offers clinical consultation and treatment to customers. Under the GMP certification, Poh Guan Hong started producing high quality medicinal products (self-developed medicines and medicines by other merchants) that are compliant with the requirements set by the Ministry of Health.
Poh Guan Hong, established by Mr Ting Ung Kee in Sibu, Sarawak in 1942 after he migrated to Malaysia from China, is currently one of the most popular shops locally. Apart from widely used products, Poh Guan Hong is also selling self-developed products, such as the well-known Cap Rusa Sing Kong Chui.
