What you should know about Universiti Teknologi MARA Faculty of Medicine
The first intake of 20 medical students was admitted in June 2003 and they graduated in April 2008. The programmes offered were the Degree in Medicine and Diplomas in Environmental Health, Medical Imaging, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. By 2011, the faculty has grown impressively and our current number of student intake is around 200 per year.
The idea was conceived with the formation of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences on the 1st December 2002 which was located at Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The number of student intake has grown over the years. On 15th March 2004, it was split into the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Sciences.
